Hey food lovers,
So, on Monday, November 11, Michelin dropped their TX picks, and I thought I’d share my faves from the list—these are spots that I’ve personally tried and totally recommend you check out when you’re in Houston.
One Michelin Star restaurants (again, that I have tried myself more than once):
- BCN Taste & Tradition (Spanish), great ambiance
- March (menu changes so it is not just one type of food) , I’ve only tried things via in their lounge but I love it and always hear rave reviews about the whole tasting
Bib Gourmand (amazing food at unbelievable value) – my favorites among all the Houston-area restaurants selected:
- Killen’s BBQ
- Mala Sichuan Bistro (Sichuan Chinese), authentic and one of my favorites for Chinese food here
- Nancy’s Hustle (New American) , must try the Nancy cakes
- Nobie’s (New American), never disappoints
- Rosie Cannonball (Modern European), one of my go-to places and you must try their pizzas and pastas
- Street to Kitchen (Thai), their spice level is not for the faint of heart
- Pinkerton’s BBQ, a must in Houston
- The Pit Room (BBQ), also a go to BBQ spot here
- Truth BBQ (I’ve tried both the Houston and original location, and they are consistent with flavor and great service).
Michelin recommended restaurants:
- Bludorn, one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, especially for a nice occasion with an amazing truffle pasta
- Candente, I love their birria tacos
- Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, Westheimer location is a TX staple
I’m not a food critic, nor do I claim to be one—I simply love dining out and sharing my experiences. These are the restaurants I’ve visited multiple times and genuinely recommend. I can’t wait to explore the rest of the Michelin list and update my recommendations as I do!
Eat your heart out,
